In a Special Olympics Cambodia football tournament which was sponsored by UNICEF Cambodia, the Cambodian Global partnership was launched. They advocate the rights and opportunities of children with intellectual disabilities. Families, friends, and sponsors of the twenty-one athletes who participated in the said event were present which was actually held infront of the old temple ruins of Khmer Empire millennium in Siem Reap, Cambodia last December 20, 2007. The national partnership plan is also committed to increase recruitment of athletes and at the same time train them so they would develop better public relation on an international level. They would also like to have a Family Support Network.
