Chris Webber, Golden State Warriors’ forward and 15-year National Basketball Association (NBA) veteran is set to retire this year. Webber’s knee injuries were very frequent in the recent years. These injuries have slowed him down in the previous games.

In his hardcourt comeback, Webber was only able to play nine games for the Golden State Warriors. Due to pain in his left knee, Webber was unable to play for the past three weeks including in the team’s battle for a spot on the Western Conference playoffs. The Golden State Warriors ranked eight in the West.

Chris Webber, an alumnus of the University of Michigan, was the top pick of the Golden State Warriors in the 1993 NBA Draft. Aside from the Warriors, Webber has also played for the Washington, Sacramento Kings, Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons.
