Arthur Blank placed a bid to purchase the Brave’s baseball team but lost out to the current owner, Liberty Media. However, it is expected that the team would again be up for sale within the next two years with Blank waiting in the wings for this opportunity. Blank has openly expressed his regrets in failing to spend a little bit more in his effort to assume ownership of the team.
Blank has been known to be a hands on type of an owner which can be considered as favorable in the MLB which does not seem to suit him well in the NFL. If and when he assumes ownership of the team, Atlanta will be in a position to fill up their roster with big name players that they urgently need to bring them to contention for the World Series.
