Well, even sports outfits are not immune to the economic downturn that has businesses trying to save as much as they can for the long run. Previously jam packed stadiums are offering lower priced tickets for previously select seats normally occupied by celebrities and other famous people (don’t be fooled they’re still darned expensive). Taxis that used to get a lot of business go on for hours without passengers and normally fully booked hotels and bars have, well not many takers either.
Guess TV is the favorite game source to date for going to the game is just a tad bit too expensive for most people today. There are still some die hard fans who do spend the big bucks but not too much. Football, soccer and other sports are seeing the effects of the slowing economy with ad revenues shrinking and other money magnets not getting bites, it seems sports will see the effects soon enough (just a bit).

グローバルカップはバレーボールの世界選手権のようなものです。 今大会は、今年の１０月１３日にユタ州のセント・ジョージで開催されます。このイベントは２年ごとに開催され、前回の大会ではカナダは最後まで粘りをみせ、ポーランドを破り、銅メダルを獲得しました。そして、アメリカが金メダルをロシアが銀メダルを獲得しました。今年はブラジルやドイツ、ロシア、カナダ、アメリカが大会に参加し、さらなる盛り上がりを見せています。カナダチームにはカナダ代表メンバーとオリンピックメンバーから７人が参加し、いまだに高い競争力を備えています。コーチは選手に大きな期待を寄せ、前回の大会に獲得した銅メダルを上回る活躍を期待しています。カナダチームのメンバー：Don Saxton、Larry Plenert、Keith Gallicano、Tom Jones、Bernard Pare、Rich McDonald、Brian Gamborg、Paul Gratton、John Paulsen、 Don Michalski、Dan Paulson、John Markwartほか。
